One of my co-founder’s daughter had a mighty fine idea to help people incorporate the health benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar into our diets. She founded “Mighty Fine Foods” to bring “Haymaker’s Punch” to market through a Canadian fermented foods company. While I myself could benefit from adding more healthy nutrients and elements to my own diet, I have no domain expertise when it comes to bringing fermented foods to market. Still, I knew the young company could benefit from some operational guidance and best practices I had to share from my own start-up experience.
I joined Mighty Fine Foods as a board advisor and helped guide this young entrepreneur and company in their go-to-market strategy and operational execution. Serving as a “hands on” board advisor for Mighty Fine Foods, along with other organizations I’ve had the opportunity to serve as board member has become a passion project for me personally. I love finding ways to help mentor, guide and support entrepreneurs and organizations at various stages of their growth trajectory. Serving as a board member, angel investor or operational investor depending on the needs of an organization, provides me with opportunities to leverage my own experience & expertise to “pay it forward” to the people I support and causes I can get behind.
