Growing up in the world of competitive athletics, I came to understand that the work athletes put in at the gym leads to high performance on the field or court of play. In seeking the right level of training and development for my own kids, along with the young athletes I coached across youth sports I became an investor/owner of Xtreme-Speed and put my money where my passion lives.
Xtreme-Speed is an athletic-performance facility aiming to help youth athletes (ages 5-15), and advanced athletes (ages 16-30+) gain the necessary strength, explosiveness, quickness and overall mental toughness needed to excel in sports. Not just another “speed & agility” training company, the Xtreme-Speed way is proven to help athletes build the required athletic traits to stand out from the crowd.
By combining strength training, explosiveness, and footwork development using sport-specific movements, and then bundling the training programs into one-hour training sessions, the Xtreme-Speed way has become a proven method of developing and enhancing today’s sports athlete.
As the current owner for Xtreme-Speed was relocating across country, I decided to purchase Xtreme-Speed and help support a young entrepreneur athlete I gotten know run the business. The cashflow received from the company were enough to pay back my initial investment and nearly doubled revenues in the short time I owned it. In an act of goodwill and an effort to support his future, I sold the company to the young entrepreneur athlete I’d mentored for $1. It was great to be in a position to “pay it forward”to the next generation and have “passion meets performance” continue meeting the needs of young athletes and their families.
